Hi there,

I hope this email finds you well! Thank you so much for journeying with me

and for your continued prayers and support in my mission work—I’m grateful

to finally catch you up after these past few months!

Quick Glimpse:

Here’s some of what God did during our outreach in the Philippines:

2,730+ people heard the Gospel

724 people surrendered their lives to Jesus (421 first-time salvations!)

380+ believers trained and activated in evangelism

University access after 10-15 years of being closed to the Gospel

Many moments of breakthrough and healing!

Praise & prayer requests

I’ve been reflecting on how deeply we, as humans, need hope. Life’s challenges can weigh us down, but Jesus offers us all a hope worth enduring for.
As a missionary, seeing people revived by the Gospel has reminded me that sharing this hope is worth every cost.

Be encouraged, brothers and sisters—God is not done with you. Just as He’s moving in the lives I’m about to share, He is active in your life too! 🙌 I pray for fresh revelation of how He’s moving in your life to come to you!

Left picture - Every Sunday, we led youth ministry at a local church for Chinese immigrants in the Philippines. They warmly blessed us with traditional Chinese food, shared their stories, and gave us beautiful cultural insight.

Middle picture - A breakout group I led at a university gathering of 400+ students where we explored ‘purpose’— a conversation that opened the door to the Gospel and our purpose in having relationship with God. Over 90 students responded to Jesus at this event!

Bottom picture - Our ministry partners, Elevate (campus ministry with CCF), had a fun motto: “Picture or it didn’t happen!” So after every event, we made sure to take a photo—this one was taken after an event at a McDonald’s.

Highlights from the Philippines 🇵🇭

🚖 Grab (Uber) Drivers Encounter Jesus

We did a substantial amount of transport through a ride-hail service called Grab. On our rides across the city, we shared the Gospel with drivers and encouraged those who were believers. One driver, after hearing about Jesus’ love for him, confessed sin, repented, and walked out of shame and addiction! Hallelujah!

🎓 Historic Campus Breakthrough

For the first time in 10–15 years, together with the local campus ministry, we gained access to university campuses closed to Christianity. Classrooms were packed, young people encountered Jesus, and many surrendered their lives to Him in response to hearing the Gospel!

🏀 Street-side Salvations

At an outdoor basketball court event, worship attracted passersby from nearby restaurants and the streets. 27 people surrendered their lives to Jesus that night, many hearing the Gospel for the first time!

💫 Redemption in the Slums

In Tondo, a church that grew from a British couple’s short-term trip is now raising up leaders and changing lives. After evangelism training, believers there overcame fear and preached the Gospel for the first time! The believers being practically equipped to share the Gospel will be a game changer for an area so ripe to receive the Gospel!

(Our time in Tondo was one of the most unforgettable parts of the outreach for me personally. I witnessed the hope and power of the Gospel in such a tangible way—through people whose lives have been radically redeemed and transformed. The evidence of Jesus’ work was so clear and confronted my own previous understanding of it!)

My Personal Growth

This trip challenged me to see how Jesus is our sufficiency even in the most broken moments of humanity. He’s present where people feel overlooked and forgotten. And in the places/moments where I was so aware of my own weaknesses in this trip, I saw Jesus sustain me and our team in beautiful ways!

I also experienced the Lord’s provision personally—flight changes I needed were completely covered, and new monthly supporters came alongside me during this trip. Praise Jesus!

What’s coming up?

I’ll be helping lead a short-term Circuit Riders training school in California this month! It’s an intensive, week-long school designed to equip people to step out boldly in their God-given callings. It will be through personal leadership development, practical training/equipping in skillsets, community living & all alongside like-minded individuals! I’m excited to see what God does!

The Lord has been placing new, and more directed vision for my life and work in missions. I plan to start taking steps of action towards these things this summer - including learning Korean/Hangul, as well as developing my art skillsets and abilities as a visual communicator. Please pray for me as I seek the Lord in these ventures!

Praise:

God’s provision for me to remain in the U.S.

More clarity in my missional calling

New committed monthly support

Prayer:

For God to activate young people through upcoming Circuit Riders schools in California and the UK

For clarity in seeking the Lord in new responsibilities and future mission steps

For provision of a mentor who can speak into my life and leadership, particularly from a missional perspective

Thank you so much for journeying with me! Your prayers and support make all of this possible! I’d love to hear from you—feel free to reply and let me know how I can be praying for you too.

With gratitude and blessings,
Ruth

PS:

Excited to share that I now have a website coming soon! God wonderfully provided an online space to my brother and I to use for our mission work. I’ll be able to post regular updates, share photos, and keep everything in one place. So stay tuned!
